    Please don't park or drive on the grass.

    There are septic tanks/field lines all over the property and will be damaged by the weight of passenger cars and trucks. Assume that if you see grass, there's a septic tank or drain lines there.

  • General Information

    We have some unusually tricky doors that we prefer you use as EMERGENCY EXIT only.

    Those are clearly marked on the property, do not open or unlock them. We do a quality check before arrival to make sure everything is ready to go. However, we are always here if you need us.

Bears, Wildlife & Trash.

Trash management is crucial in the woods. All trash MUST be covered AND kept indoors. When trash is full, please take bags to the garage and place them in the containers located there.  Be sure to close the garage door every time and verify it closes behind you. We don’t want animals getting into the trash area. 

You can access the trash storage garage by entering the code on the garage door keypad. PLEASE break down cardboard into flat pieces and set them neatly in a pile. Trash pickup is every Wednesday, and they won’t take cardboard that isn’t broken down. 

Black bears have been spotted on the property occasionally. That usually means they smell something they like or are on their way to something they smell. Since we're only one of 4 houses within a 3 mile radius, odds are good that they like something at Bison Lodge.

We do have two outdoor cats. If you see a cat roaming around the property please know they are not friendly. They have been “hired” to hunt mice and snakes. The cats have had all their shots from the humane society but please do not feed or pet them.
